Dire warnings and breathless updates on the latest crisis, the swine flu dominated
world headlines last week. Absent from these news reports were any questions about
the more than $1 billion requested by Obama to meet the latest crisis, or any context
on what the World Health Organization called
'a grave threat to humanity.'
Gee, it now looks as though this latest crisis isn't a crisis after all, with several
'experts' opining that the virus is no more severe than the normal flu. So far this year only
one person has died of swine flu in the U.S. - a baby from
Mexico. CNSNews
points out that more than 56,000 people died from normal flu in the U.S.
in 2006, the most recent year for which data is available. Oh well, a good crisis
is an awful thing to waste.
As Americans tried to decipher the conflicting reports on our latest crisis, lots
of stuff got swept under the carpet, like Obama's concerted and continuing effort
to undermine America.
The Obama Administration At Work:
Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates said that the Pentagon
may have to build a new facility (in the U.S.) to house
detainees from the military prison at Guantanamo Bay. I guess as long as we don't
call it Gitmo....
Congressional Democrats turned
up the pressure on the Obama administration Tuesday to start a criminal investigation by a special counsel into
harsh interrogations of terrorism suspects, like exposing a murderous killer to
a caterpillar - or slapping him.
A Spanish court has already
opened an investigation into the horrible torture meted out by evil U.S. military
personnel. The evidence being used to indict America is the batch of CIA memos Obama
decided to make public. Hey, I though the president was sworn to protect America,
not override
the DHS and FBI in order to release terrorists in our midst.

Actual al-Qaeda torture methods : Head In A Vise |
To
provide a little context, I include links to captured documents that show actual torture methods employed by al-Qaeda. Methods that
include "blowtorch to the skin" and "eye removal."
And here's a new documentary that sheds light on the real atrocities
committed by the Khmer Regime in Cambodia. My question is, why is no one objecting
to or investigating the real stuff??
Before I 'move-on', I include an interesting article that shows billionaire leftist
and America hater, George Soros, is
funding these show trials. Hmmmm... could he be the guy behind Obama's teleprompter?
Inquiring minds want to know.
Despite the plethora of alarming
news issuing forth daily from our new leaders, there remain a few bright spots:
GOOD NEWS:
In this priceless exchange, Condi
Rice takes on a bleeding heart student from Stanford and sets him straight on the
torture brou-haha. Video
here. Oh, for a Palin-Rice ticket in 2012.
Public attitudes on a pair of contentious national issues - gun control and abortion
- have moved in a more conservative direction over the past year.
Seventy-seven percent (77%) of U.S. voters say that they prefer a free market economy over a government-managed economy.
That’s up seven points since December. A new poll conducted by Pew Research finds
the support for legal
abortions has dropped to its lowest level in 15 years.
For just the second time in more than five years of daily or weekly tracking, Republicans
now lead Democrats in the latest edition of the Generic Congressional Ballot.
James Corbett, who has taught at Capistrano
Valley High School in Mission Viejo for the past 20 years, has been found guilty of disparaging Christians in class in violation of
the First Amendment. Really.
April's cable ratings are out, and it looks like Fox News isn't slowing
down. Murdoch's network has just beaten CNN and MSNBC combined in every hour from
6pm to midnight. Fox was the only network that declined to cover Obama's 3rd prime-time
press conference last week. As a result, Fox finished first in the 8PM hour, with a new episode of
'Lie To Me'. A case could be made that all the other networks also featured 'Lie
To Me'. I'm smiling.
Speaking of lies, Fox News continues to
point out the lies, oops, misstatements made by Obama. Whoppers, all. Lies that are spread by the formerly great NYT. Which by
the way, is in its death throes. Moral of the story: Ignore reality at your own
risk. I'm laughing.
Last, but not least - a victory over the race card. NY Gov.
Paterson was ordered to pay out $300K in a reverse racism case. The suit accused Paterson, back when
he was Senate minority leader in 2003, of firing a white Senate photographer in
order to replace him with an African-American. Hey, maybe one day we'll achieve
MLK's vision of a color blind society. Ya think?
CULTURE:
Obama's signature campaign slogan, Yes We Can, has been
replicated by the Iranian president in a promotional video issued for Iran's presidential
poll on 12 June, when Ahmadinejad is seeking reelection.
A Melbourne gay couple have traveled to the US to
buy "designer
twin boys" through a surrogate mother at a cost of up to $133,000, taking advantage
of California's liberal IVF laws.
Thousands of Kenyan women vowed Wednesday to begin a weeklong
sex strike to try to protest their country's bickering leadership, which they say
threatens to revive the bloody chaos that convulsed Kenya last year. Sounds
like a good plan to me.
A fired British executive is suing his former employer on
the grounds that he was unfairly dismissed due to religious views, his belief in
global warming.
Before I sign off, I'd like to sound a warning. The one
factor that could spell the demise of America is the reality of demographics. If
America continues to abort our citizens while Islam increases its birth rate, our
culture will die out. This scary video explains the absolute reality of Muslim Demographics.
Please spread the word to all your pro-abortion
friends.
Until next week, keep smiling.
