The 40 year anniversary of man walking on the moon and the passing of broadcaster
Walter Cronkite at the age of 92. Cronkite used his position as 'the most trusted man
in America' to
"guide America to defeat in Vietnam". Cronkite's epitaph includes
being the man who made liberal media bias acceptable - by reporting the decisive
American victory, the Vietnam Tet Offensive, as a stalemate.
Of necessity, RightBias has had to bring back the:
RIGHT BIAS IDIOT AWARDS:
This week's Idiot Award goes to VP Joe Biden who, with a straight face, announced
that "we have to go spend money to
keep from going bankrupt." For the first time
I find myself concerned for Obama's health.
A close runner-up is top economic advisor Larry Summers, who stated that America's
economic free-fall has ended. Why? Because the number of people searching for the
term “economic depression” on Google is down to normal levels.
GOVERNMENT AT WORK:
The battle continues on revamping our nation's health care. Though 82% of Americans
are happy with their health care, the Obama administration is branding it, you guessed
it, a 'crisis', in dire need of a government fix. The proposed fix includes making
private insurance illegal, making vaccines mandatory (through home health visits)
and slapping a fine on anyone who doesn't join. Of course, Congress will be exempt
and continue to enjoy a benefit system not available to the rest of us peons.
Oh, and Dems want a
$5.4% tax increase on 'the rich' in order to pay for it, ignoring
the fact that more than
a million small business owners and about two-thirds of
the profits earned by U.S. small businesses would be hit by the income tax increase
on the "rich".
In their zeal to protect their members from politically hazardous votes on issues
such as gay marriage and gun control, House Democrats are
taking extraordinary steps
to muzzle Republicans. Including rejecting an amendment to audit the Federal Reserve
and a bill banning the misnamed Fairness Doctrine.
A
new congressional report has come out, confirming what most conservatives already know - that
the government caused the housing
crisis. You heard it here first, I bet.
CULTURE:
A
jumbo-sized road sign claiming that civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.
was a Republican has stirred a religious and political fight in Houston, where a
church leader is trying to draw black voters into the GOP.
A group committed to establishing an international Islamic empire and reportedly
linked to Al Qaeda is stepping up its Western recruitment efforts by
holding its
first official conference in the U.S. Ah, if
only our famed tolerance extended to conservatives also.
Couples who shack up before tying the knot are
more likely to get divorced than
their counterparts who don't move in together until marriage, a new study suggests
A new study shows that the human fetus
displays short-term memory from at least
30 weeks gestation - or about two months before they are born.
A Missouri car dealer has taken a novel approach to combating the fall in US vehicle
sales by
offering a free Kalashnikov assault rifle with every truck,
whether new or used.
OF INTEREST:
Remember Filegate?
Well, its over. A federal judge has thrown out a 13-year-old lawsuit against
Hillary Rodham Clinton that involved the White House's mis-handling of FBI background
records.
World's cheapest car goes on sale in India
The United Nations has called for a return to state-led "industrial policy" for
poorer countries in what amounts to a
rejection of the free-market thinking (capitalism)
that has dominated global institutions for the last 30 years.
A new organization called the Alliance for Bonded Term Limits (ABTL) has formed
to explore a process that
could put term limits into effect without having to pass
term limit legislation.
Their plan is to support candidates who will voluntarily bond their promises of
limited tenure in office by use of their personal assets - as in 'putting their
money where their mouths are'. Whoa, baby.
Supporters of a case that
disputes the legitimacy of Obama's citizenship claimed
a victory last week when a U.S. District Judge told them to fix their paperwork
and that he would listen to the merits of their case.
Henry Allingham, the world's oldest man and the oldest surviving British veteran
from World War I, has died at the age of 113
Ford, the only car company not receiving a government bailout, has just released
this
most amazing commercial.
A very moving tribute to our returning soldiers.
OurCountryPac.org has just released
a great ad that seeks to alert Americans about
the agenda and tactics of the Obama administration. And last, but not least, conservative
comedian Steven Crowder has released a
great video showing what Canadian health
care is like. Kudos.
Till next week - keep smiling,
Nancy Morgan
